Wayback Machine - Nostalgia
You can post here archives of old stuff, not exclusively from the Wayback Machine. We used to have nice things on vocab that aren't there anymore.

Check out the streaks (numbers) between November 12, 2022 (15:33:08) and November 13, 2022 (14:53:30) on https://web.archive.org/web/20220601000000*/http://web.archive.org/screenshot/https://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/B1O5TDWOV86919/achievements. Unfortunately, there is no snapshot later on November 12 (I did most of it later). Here is the log:

- November 11, 2022 (19:17:53): 7308 100s-in-a-rows
- November 12, 2022 (15:33:08): 7350 100s-in-a-rows

This is a spot made for people like Hakhut and So So, this is the oldest info on the game I know of: https://www.vocabulary.com/articles/2005/01/

Neat since this was years before I was even born, I don't even think the game had been launched yet, I read a while ago they debut public late 2011
I think this person (Cheesecake) was near 400M pts when they got banned. You can see their latest comment to see why (I think): https://web.archive.org/web/20151009093027/http://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/B0AHEC5SXTTJD4/comments
Oh I didn't know vocab.com used to have a chat feature, my guy got banned just for using cuss words?? Not for cheating?? was blood even playing fair? Secondly, is this the old vocab from 2011-ish? I definitely wasn't playing then, but I've seen it on Google with the recognizable looking green and gray background.
I'm uncertain whether they were access denied for this specific reason, but it seems plausible considering their lack of speed and the fact that they didn't engage consistently, such as Geeta R. and their numerous other accounts, who were active 24/7 (bot). The snapshot is from 2015, this is 2011 vocab.com: https://web.archive.org/web/20110203063021/http://www.vocabulary.com/ (and this is end of 2011: https://web.archive.org/web/20111202175512/http://www.vocabulary.com/).

Indeed, the in-list chat feature had been removed before my tenure at Vocabulary.com began. However, we still utilised a forum chat located below articles, as well as an "About Me" section where users could compose entries of up to 1000 words. Additionally, we had the option to list favourite and least favourite words, along with explanations for each.
Mr thinker did Geeta R get cazr 1 star before it even released that why does not have it and prob got non of the points and why he not banned. What is his other accounts btw or I am blind.
Dude, Wayback Machine is funny, at the back of my head I can't help but wonder how many players on the leaderboard either use(d) a little help (bot) or a lot of help (bot) on a game!!
Reply to Micah: It's probably just a bug in the game. Just as when days for the 3rd star of a level don't show up because it was earned doing a jam. Geeta R. has a 3 accounts: Geeta R. (Word Czar 1 star - https://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/A1HNQ6NUQ95SBH), Dee R. (Word Czar - https://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/A0WLSCOZ3J5XSQ), Terra incognita (Walking 3 stars - https://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/B1H3KGUVWGPM6W). Of course this remains unsure as it comes from Cheesecake (but still highly probable).

This is where it comes from: https://web.archive.org/web/20150617234539/http://www.vocabulary.com/profiles/B0AHEC5SXTTJD4/comments
Reply to Manny: Um, I'm not entirely sure, but it's possible that Hakhut or some of the older players utilised bots. However, using bots carries the risk of being banned, which is definitely something you want to avoid, especially when reaching higher levels.
I see, but it's actually quite realistic for them to have not used bots, it does require dedication, but if the wayback machine captures are correct, they would have had at least 5 years to get 100-200 million. Averaging 20-40 million a year or 100,000 points a day. That's really easy.
Yes lol. Compared to me that did 176M in a year xD.
ohhh, you did 176 million ish, I thought you did 200-250 million. Not dimishing the impressiveness of your stunt, but that averages to 500k a day.
I'm sure I have a 365 day span where I did more than 176M, that was only in a class (11 April 2022-11 April 2023).

Yeah, I was slow during training at the beginning (only 10-15M per month), and I played only about 10 months that year.

If you take the few first months of 2023, the average is already better.
