Tips for Vocab Bowl?

Hey! I made a new account, lost my old one.

While I was logging into Vocab.com, as one does, I noticed I got an invitation to the Vocab bowl. I think I'm going to participate, can anyone give me tips?

Also, how MANY words should I master?

My current way I master words
(I go through the whole alphabet and go to the next word when I master 100 of the cane letter)
1: go to https://www.vocabulary.com/words/e

2: get 10 words into a list (Ive seen people do way more -like 100- but I just do 10 since there are only 10 questions per cycle of practice, guaranteeing evenly distributed mastery)

3: master all words, with split screen on the definition in case I get stuck. (I use 1, 2, 3, 4, and Enter to get through questions.

4: If to many questions incorrect and it takes to long to master the word(s) then swap out the other, mastered, words and keep the one that's taking too long OR throw it out and use a new 10 words (which is better?)

5: go back to https://www.vocabulary.com/words/e and repeat the process

Also, since my account is associated with a school, I'm automatically signed up for the school wide Vocab bowl (I think), however, how do I sign up as an individual learner?

For some reason I don't see images that I put for my profile pic, pasted images, etc. When I try to register as an individual learner, it just says: "Your school is registered for the Spring 2025 Vocabulary Bowl! The season will start on February 1, 2025." It says this for each of the 3 register options

I feel a good strategy is like get 75% mastery on a lot of words but not fully master then on next season just put do like spell word definition then you get lot of words really quickly when you doing practice in a list(when you put the definition in it mostly always gives full mastery but sometimes it does not)this what I think can get a high placement but I don't think you care. Probably does not make sense but gl

I never really grinded words yet so idk how good the strategy is(mostly grinding streaks rn)but I did use it a little bit above
